On the corner of Avon and Magnolia Blvd is a blue tragedy mask with long flowing hair that you can almost hear wailing. It is a complimentary image for the home of Theatre Banshee at 3435 W. Magnolia Blvd. painted by Josie DiVincenzo and Noah Wagner.

Actually, it is an artistic rendition of a "wailing banshee" and not a tragedy mask. Thus its depiction with the theatre name "The Banshee". Just an FYI. I assisted Josie DiVincenzo who did most of the work on it.
Thank you so much for commenting, Noah! It is gratifying to know that you and Josie DiVincenzo painted the image. Thanks for doing such a marvelous job! It is a terrific rendition of a wailing banshee. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear, that part seemed obvious. 6/29/2012 04:22:32 pm
Thanks so much for championing our Banshee! I was honored to be the lead on this. In the infancy of the company, Artistic Director Sean Branney drew this image on a scrap paper and Andrew Leman converted it into vector art. Noah Wagner and I spent a few days painting the thing, and well, the Banshee wails! Leave a Reply. |
