It's a cold, rainy day in Burbank and I just wanted to stay in my pajamas. However, I had used up my supply of art photos so I braved the drizzly elements to bring you yet more beautiful images. This stone sculpture is found on the corner of Magnolia Blvd. and Lake St. in front of the Burbank Water and Power building. I've passed by it in the car a million times but today I walked all the way around it and I'm so glad I did. It is entitled "Community" and the plaque says that the variety of colors in the stone sculptures represent the diversity found in the Burbank community. The artist is Kathleen Caricof of the National Sculptors Guild. |
